The last week of our stay in the DR was busy but so very awesome. Our church surprised us with a special farewell during our last service in the DR. They played a slideshow of pictures of us and presented us with a beautiful plaque, thanking us for our service to God in the DR over the past two years. It was so special for us, and touched us very deeply.
God has been so faithful in preparing all the details of our summer for us. He has provided us both with jobs, the summer off to see family and friends, he has arranged schedules perfectly to allow us to make various presentations, and much, much more. I would like to ask all of you, however, to hold Eric and me up in prayer in two specific areas over the next several weeks.
1. Eric and I are both sick. Praise God for the comfort of my mother’s house in which to recover from our travels! I pray that God would give us His perfect healing and strength so that we may enjoy our time with my family and take care of all the personal business that comes with moving.
2. 1 Peter 2:11-12 “Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that…they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.” Although we have returned to a familiar and loving house, we are not home. Heaven is the home of every Christian, and God calls us to live with our eternal home as our goal. Eric and I have taken so much away from the past two years concerning living for God and not the world, and we do not want to forget those precious lessons that the Lord taught us. As we enter back into the American Society of convenience and comfort, may we keep our eyes fixed on the prize, the coming of our Lord, our satisfaction and our true love. May we live in such a way that it is obvious to the world that He is our treasure, not the pleasures that the world provides us with.
Eric and I have the amazing blessing of several weeks of vacation this summer to see family and friends, as well as visit many of our supporters to thank them for their help. We are excited to share more stories and pictures of the lives that God changed through our mission in the DR with all of you, and I would like to personally invite anyone who is interested, to come to one of these presentations this summer. We would love to see all of your faces and embrace you with hugs. We are also exploding to tell everyone about what God has done these last two years of our lives, as well as share details about my upcoming position with VisionTrust here in the States.

It was SO nice to fellowship with you over lunch today... I love you sister and praise God for our friendship, and for what He does through us when we get out of the way! You have certainly magnified the Lord with your time in the DR!
Love you, Kate
